REFLECTIONS AND ASPIRATION

My Time At SAE

My experience at SAE is something that I will never forget and I have made great friends that I will never forget. My first short film we did was an underground poker scene, I was the first assistant director and it was pretty fun even though I had nothing to do with the story it was still a fun thing to do and a good experience. I really enjoyed my editing class in trimester one the assignments were very fun and easy and the classes were great as well I learned so much. I really enjoyed my screenwriting class in the class I wrote a short film about a kid that works at his Dads pizza shop and he wanted to go to a party a night he was working so he asks his dad if he could go. When he asked his dad his dad tells him to deliver one last pizza then he can go but that pizza delivery got the kid into so much trouble because of the events that took place while delivering it delivery.  Trimester two at SAE was so much harder than the first trimester my Monday class was Contemporary Industrial Practices and the assignments were all presentations in front of the class and I get really nervous doing public speaking. My Tuesday class was a post-production class it was one of my favorite classes as I learned how to use Adobe after effects and photoshop. we learned how green screens work and how to use the keying tool on after effects which was so interesting. My Wednesday and Thursday class was a film production class. That class was the class I was expecting all my classes to be like before I started at SAE. The class was so much fun and we had a great teacher he taught us so much. In that class, we did a TV Commercial for a product we came up with. We came up with an app that is like uber but for hugs, I was Also first assistant director for that production. and for the last assignment, we had to make a short film for this film we chose to shoot something that was a sensitive subject. It was about a refugee that was not allowed into Australia and he was leaving his wife and daughter behind the short turned out so good we are all proud of it and I was First Assistant director for that as well. The things that I would have changed at my time at SAE is that I would have loved to volunteer to direct a short film and would have put more effort into my Mondays class assignments. I loved every minute  at SAE and I and who knows I might come back to do my degree.
